Brambleton is doing an outstanding job recycling. In the first few months, Brambleton’s household recycling rate has increased from an average of 9 lbs per household to 16 lbs.

Representatives from RecycleBank were also amazed that 41% of the Brambleton owners registered during the first week of the program. Typical registration for other communities has been only around 30%. Keep up the good work Brambleton!!

Residents Visit With Santa and Rudolph

Holiday cheer filled the Community Center on Sunday, December 6th as Santa and Rudolph greeted residents at the Holiday Open House. Santa also brought a few of his elves from the North Pole who helped with face painting and balloon making.

Children eagerly waited for a chance to visit with Santa on his sleigh, as parents took the opportunity to snap photos. As the elves kept themselves busy, Rudolph made his way around the Community Center, giving out hugs. He was quite the crowd pleaser, and quickly gave comfort to the little ones who weren’t quite ready for a meeting with Santa.

Thank you to the Activities Committee members who helped with the holiday festivities: Event Chair, Lori Fetterman, Committee Co-Chair Nikki McMahon and Karen Martin. And a very special thanks to Donna Cohen, for volunteering her time as Rudolph!

Holiday Kick Off in Town Center "Jingle All The Way!"

The Brambleton Group kicked off the holiday season in the Town Center on Saturday, November 28th with the first annual Jingle Bell Family Fun Run/Walk followed by an afternoon of holiday fun! Over 150 Brambletonians and their friends participated in the 3-mile Jingle Bell Run/Walk which took them around the Town Center and along neighborhood trails. All proceeds from the walk were donated to the Legacy Elementary School Track Fund, which totaled over $3,500 in registrations, corporate sponsorships and generous family donations.

After the walk, the crowd enjoyed free children’s crafts inside the Welcome Center, a face painter, door prizes, horse & carriage rides and a DJ piping great holiday tunes around the Town Center Plaza as they shopped. The day’s festivities wrapped up with a community countdown for the lighting of the Christmas Tree. The tree will remain lit throughout the holiday season and the Menorah will be lit starting the first day of Hanukkah, December 11th. Thanks to all of the sponsors who helped make this event successful and a great fundraiser for Legacy Elementary School: Brambleton Group, Beazer Homes, Centex Homes, Gulick Group, Miller & Smith, Northern Virginia Orthodontics, Stanley Martin, Van Metre, Verizon and Winchester Homes. Thank you also to volunteers from the Briar Woods High School Key Club who assisted with the children’s craft tables. Click here to view photos from the event.

SHOWCASING FIOS PRODUCTS, EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES BRAMBLETON WELCOMES UNIQUE NEW VERIZON STORE

Brambleton, an early leader in community connectivity through its partnership with Verizon for the community-wide incorporation of FiOs, welcomes a unique new Verizon store to its Town Center in southeastern Loudoun County.

Opening last month to showcase FiOS products and services, and emerging technologies within Brambleton and the surrounding areas, the new retail store is located at 42395 Ryan Road, Suite 119, adjacent to Brambleton's Welcome Center. It is Northern Virginia's first Verizon store to feature in-store equipment where set-top boxes and equipment can be exchanged and purchased. Complementing Brambleton's technology, the new retail operation will assist customers from Brambleton and the area to upgrade services and pay bills, among other services.
Store manager Rob Barber commented that the new retail center offers a “demo zone” with live FiOS demonstrations, and trained Verizon representatives are on hand to answer customer questions.
“While our partnership with Verizon began as a test case, we were quick to realize that the sophisticated level of connectivity Brambleton offers is a highly successful feature that attracts new homeowners to our community,” said Brambleton's marketing director Kim Adams. “Having the Verizon store in our Town Center is a distinct advantage to our residents, as well as to others in surrounding communities,” Adams noted.
