BRAMBLETON HOSTS COMMUNITY SAFETY SHRED

Brambleton Town Center is hosting a free Community Safety Shred event on Saturday, March 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Chevy Chase Bank parking lot. The event will provide Loudoun residents with the opportunity to protect their identities by shredding sensitive documents. The truck-mounted shredder can accept all types of paper documents, even those with staples, paper clips or other small fasteners; however, based on limited capacity, shredding is restricted to individual use only with a limit of 10 boxes per vehicle. After the event, all shredded material will be recycled.

“The shredder can handle as much as 5 tons of paper. Last year we reach capacity before the end of the event, so we recommend that people come early” said Steven Theobald, general manager of Proshred Security.

Radio station 92.5 WINC-FM will be broadcasting live throughout the event and participants can receive coupons and other giveaways from
Brambleton Town Center merchants.

Bringing You Our Business - BYOB

Introducing You to The Brambleton Town Center's Resident Business Owners
Dr. Elizabeth Zapp - Loudoun Medical Aesthetics

How long have you been living in Brambleton, and why did you decide to move here?
We moved here in July of 2003, when the Navy transferred me to Bethesda from Chicago. We loved the idea of a new family-oriented community where lots of people would be moving in at the same time.

What compelled you to start a business here in Brambleton?
After living here for a few years it was obvious that Brambleton was full of active people with the knowledge and means to take care of their physical and mental well-being — a perfect group for my practice.

What are some of the challenges of owning a business in the community where you live?
Patients might be concerned about their privacy in any close community, but I really enjoy the opportunity to work with friends, neighbors, and aquaintances on their goals and concerns and strive to keep that care confidential. Interestingly though, sometimes the results are so stunning that patients have a hard time keeping it a secret themselves. Word-of-mouth from my patients is my biggest referral source!

How do you differentiate your business from the competition?
My aesthetic business is unique in the level of professional care that my patients receive. All consults and treatments are done by the physician -- you can be confident in the level of training and expertise. By applying a medical model to cosmetic treatments, the patient can be assured that they are getting safe and effective treatments.

Describe your vision of Brambleton in the next 5 years, and where do you see your business?
I see Brambleton continuing to grow and evolve with even more opportunities for health and wellness . The opening of Sport & Health, more restaurants and stores, and the addition of more recreational facilities will position Brambleton as a vibrant, healthy, and active community. I plan on growing my business along with Brambleton, providing even more aesthetic services to the community.
