Ribbon Run brought runners & walkers together to fight breast cancer - The Ribbon Run, organized by the Step Sisters, was sold out before the event began – it certainly made a statement with more than 1,200 people in attendance. The Step Sisters not only organize the Ribbon Run, they participate in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Washington, DC, & have raised more than $400,000 for research in the fight against breast cancer. "Kids: Don't they just make you smile?" Video Contest - We all know kids say and do the darndest things to keep their moms on their toes. In honor of Mother’s Day, we want to spotlight those little entertainers in the Brambleton Group’s next facebook video contest. Get your cameras rolling and capture those silly antics for us all to enjoy. Elementary age children only. Please submit your video to brambletoninfo@gmail.com by April 28th. Supervisors Recognize Falcons' Championship Season - Loudoun County Chairman Scott K. York (I-At Large) and Supervisor Stevens Miller (D-Dulles) welcomed members of the Briar Woods Falcons to the boardroom for recognition of their winning season. The Falcons won the Virginia High School League AA Division 4 State Championship. Head Coach Charlie Pierce and Principal Ed Starzynski joined the players for the recognition ceremony. Dulles Metro Construction Update - March marks the second anniversary of the start of construction of Phase 1 of the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project. On March 9, 2009, the U.S. Department of Transportation approved a Full Funding Grant Agreement that provided $900 million in federal funding for the project, completing the financial package.
