Signatures of Loudoun Award Winners Announced

Brambleton Town Center, an award-winning shopping and dining destination located in Loudoun County, Virginia, was recognized by the Loudoun County Government with a 2013 Signatures of Loudoun award. This annual award acknowledges excellence and diversity in architecture and design in Loudoun County, and was presented to the winners during the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors’ business meeting on June 5, 2013.

The Loudoun County Design Cabinet, which is supported by the Loudoun County Department of Economic Development, formed the Signatures of Loudoun Design Excellence Program nine years ago to recognize outstanding projects and architectural elements countywide. The Design Cabinet promotes high-quality ecological, urban, architectural and landscape design in Loudoun County, and its members include engineers, architects, planners and designers who come together in a fusion of creative community problem solving.
“Having an aesthetically pleasing and memorable community contributes to Loudoun’s high quality of life, which is one of the factors executives consider when deciding where to locate their companies,” explained Economic Development Director, Tom Flynn.

The group recruits for public nominations each winter, and this year the Design Cabinet selected twelve commercial, residential and public-sector winners, including Brambleton Town Center.
“We’re honored to be recognized among the best in architecture and design in Loudoun County,” says Kim Adams, Director of Marketing for Brambleton. “We are proud to offer to our residents and the community a state-of-the-art and walkable destination for shopping, dining, services and entertainment.”

Brambleton Town Center boasts close to 50 specialty shops, services and restaurants in the center of Brambleton, an award-winning master planned community that currently includes approximately 4,000 single-family homes, townhomes, and condominiums. Homes are nestled among lakes, wooded areas and open space.
