July Update

Lights, Camera, Action!
The Brambleton Group is working with a production company to document life in Brambleton for our very own TV channel!  That's right, Brambleton is coming soon to a television near you, and we've even hired a celebrity host, Brett Tutor, as a reporter.  So if you see a videographer and Brett around the town, don't be shy! The Brambleton TV channel is scheduled to debut later this fall.  We’re Connected. We’re Brambleton.

The Dog Days of Summer: Wagfest 2013

Make plans to bring your family AND dogs over to Northern Virginia Magazine’s Wagfest 2013 on Saturday, July 20, from 1-3 PM in the Brambleton Town Center.  Wagfest is a pet-centric event which will kick off with a Mutt Strut around the Brambleton Town Center plaza, then stick around for tips on summer pet safety from Sit Means Sit dog trainers, live music, free raffle prizes, and more.  The top 10 winning dogs in Northern Virginia Magazine’s Dog Days of Summer online contest will be announced at the event.  Be sure to cast your vote for the cutest dogs online each day through July 18th!  This event is free and open to the public, though you are encouraged to RSVP to with your name and the total number of people and furry friends in your party.

Pawsitively Brambleton Dog Calendar Canine Casting Call!  We’re on the hunt for the Top Dogs of Brambleton to be featured in our 2014 Pawsitively Brambleton dog calendar!  The Canine Casting Call runs from Monday, July 15th through Sunday, July 28th!  Submit your favorite dog photos to us at  This contest is open to Brambleton residents only, your photos must be relatively recent, and 2013 calendar dogs are ineligible to re-enter (runners-up may submit).  See the complete rules on Facebook.  Any photos received outside of the casting call open dates (i.e., July 15-28) will not be considered.

Red, White & BRAM 2013
A beautiful day for Brambleton's annual Red, White & BRAM event - kicking off the festivities was the first ever Family Obstacle Course Challenge and finishing it off was our fantastic fireworks display.  Click here to view all the fun from the day's events!

Town Center Tidbits

  • Sport&Health – Stop by and say “Hi” to our new Kidz Klub Director, Ruth Barkan.  Ruth has been a Kidz Klub Director with Sport&Health for close to a decade.  Be on the lookout for more games, summer camp and fun coming to the Kidz Klub!
  • Caribou Coffee in Brambleton will become Peet's Coffee & Tea - this change is anticipated to occur January 2014.
  • Shane Costa, DDS - Little Smiles Brambleton anticipates opening August 26th.  They are now taking appointments, please call 703.542.7000

MWAA Starts 60-Month Countdown To Silver Line Completion In Loudoun
Silver Line Will Provide No-Transfer Rides from Reston/Tysons to Downtown; Phase 1 94% Done

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Monday issued the formal Notice to Proceed to Capital Rail Constructors—setting construction of Phase 2 of the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project in motion. The notice sets a construction completion period of 60 months, targeting completion in July, 2018.  Read more here:
