JUNE MUST-DOS IN LOUDOUN COUNTY

Summer is here!  And with the summer fun, and temperatures, heating up, here are some ways to stay cool in Brambleton. Whether you’re new to the community or an established resident, Brambleton has plenty of options to keep you busy!

Dragonflies and Damselflies
Looking for something to keep you and the little ones busy?  Well, did you know that over 70 species of dragonflies and damselflies have been identified in Loudoun County and there are surely more yet to be found?  We sure didn’t!  Check out the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy to learn more.  Be sure to check out all the beautiful parks and nature trails this summer in Brambleton!

7th Annual Northern Virginia Summer Brewfest
Kick off the summer with a Celebration of American Beer! Sample some of the finest libations from over 60 of America's best breweries; learn how the beer is made, and how to brew your own. Annual Western Loudoun Artists Studio Tour
The 9th annual Western Loudoun Artists Studio Tour unique opportunity to talk personally with local artists, purchase artwork, view demonstrations, or win a door prize - and it’s all free! Watch a bowl form from a lump of clay, a bead take shape from a tube of glass, or a length of fabric emerge from a network of threads. Enjoy the day visiting artists and winding through the scenic countryside of historic western Loudoun County.  Tired of driving?  Stop by the Brambleton Town Center for lunch or dinner during your day of fine arts!

Birding the Blue Ridge Center
On the fourth Saturday of each month (except December), Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy leads a bird walk at the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship, a beautifully diverse 900-acre preserve in northwestern Loudoun County.  Meet at the Education Center; and make sure to bring your binoculars! Be sure to check out the Brambleton birdies on our many nature walks and trails!

2014 Brambleton Town Center Grand Prix
There’s no better place for cycling than Brambleton! After many years hosting one of the Mid-Atlantic’s premier races, Evolution Cycling is proud to announce a new town center venue for 2014: the RGS Title / Prosperity Home Mortgage Brambleton Town Center Grand Prix!  The rate will feature a new 6-corner, 1-km course that is sure to become an “instant classic” on the MABRA calendar. Be sure to Register Online by June 19th!
