Brambleton Goes Gold for September

Brambleton’s Birthday Cake Decorating Contest

In honor of Brambleton’s 13th birthday on Wednesday, September 24th, “Brambleton Day,” we are holding a Brambleton Birthday Cake Decorating Contest at the Welcome Center. Showcase your talents by decorating a cake that represents one of Brambleton’s themes (think TV Channel, nature, technology, lifestyle, entertainment, movies, shopping, dining, health, exercise, garden, trails, etc). To enter the contest, simply send an e-mail by 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 21st, letting us know you plan to bring in a decorated cake. Then bring your edible and decorated cakes to the Welcome Center by 1:45 PM on Wednesday, September 24. After the judging takes place at the Brambleton Welcome Center we will have a community birthday party to enjoy your creations! Winners will be announced promptly after the judging is complete. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes consisting of ribbons and Brambleton Town Center gift cards. The 2015 Pawsitively Brambleton Dog Calendar Top Dogs!  The Brambleton Group was overwhelmed with the great response of dog photos, receiving over 75 entries for the 2015 Pawsitively Brambleton Dog Calendar.  Congratulations to our top 13 dogs!



Brambleton's 10th Annual Fall Fest ~ October 11th, 2014 ~ 1-7 PM 

This is Brambleton's largest event of the year! The festival takes place in front of the Brambleton Town Center and along Olympia Dr.  At this event you will find electronic rides, moon bounces, food vendors, beer, chili-cook off, a cornhole challenge and live music.  This event is free to attend and unlimited ride wristbands cost $15 per person.

Vendor Marketplace ~ This is a great economical opportunity for small businesses to sell and/or bring awareness to their product.  There are limited spaces and we do only allow one business brand to participate. Northern Virginia Magazine's Wagfest II Winners Announced
The Northern Virginia Magazine announced the top 3 Cutest Dogs at their Wag Fest II Dog Days of Summer event Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Brambleton Town Center. Congratulations to Doc in third place, Jake in second place and the winner, Mushu!

Brambleton's 2012-2020 Community Vision Update
After more than 18 months of planning, discussing, evaluating and revising, the Developer is ready to move forward with the 2020 Vision, submitting these applications to the Loudoun County Planning Commission in September.  We would like to thank you for your comments and participation in this process.  

We still have several hurdles to overcome and with your help we hope to successfully add many of the elements that were discussed during the community wide meetings.  Of particular note, the first applications will include a new high school, middle school and expediting the 3rd elementary school.  For further information, please click here. Under Construction - Coming Soon!  After the successful deployment of our newly redesigned community website, we began working with our website development partner, CivicPlus, on a new custom mobile application. It’s our goal to provide residents with an easy to use mobile tool for access to all things Brambleton and to offer enhanced communications. We’ll be testing the new app within a few weeks and launch it shortly thereafter.

New School Year, New School:  Rock Ridge High’s First Day

Rock Ridge High School halls filled with eager faces on Sept. 2. That day, there was no hierarchy in which the freshmen were lowest on the totem pole. Everyone – freshmen, sophomores, juniors, teachers – were in their first day at a new school.   It was, after all, the school's inaugural day. StoneSpring Hospital Center Update

Stone Spring Hospital is moving along quickly and is anticipated to stay on track for their December 2015 opening.


StoneSpring Hospital Center will have 124 beds –104 medical/surgical beds, 10 Intensive Care Unit beds, and 10 Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Postpartum beds.  The $147 million, 230,000-square-foot facility will provide comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, surgical, and diagnostic services. It will feature an MRI and CT, 14 Emergency Room bays, seven operating rooms, and a cardiac catheterization lab. 

$1.9 billion loan for rail to Dulles approved

The bipartisan Northern Virginia congressional delegation announced Thursday that the Dulles Metrorail Project got the final approval for a nearly $1.9 billion low-interest, long-term federal loan.

"This is good news for Virginia and for anyone who uses the Toll Road. It will keep tolls down and shows the federal government's continued support and commitment to this project," said Representative Frank Wolf.
